Over the past 27 years, College Gate® has offered a summer full of life long experiences maintaining a 10:1 ratio.

Beginning its 27th year, the Harrington family has provided the College Gate® experience to nearly 20,000 participants.

Last summer, participants from over 120 communities, out of state, Europe and Asia participated in College Gate®.

Self Select Your Activities
Choose your unique courses when registering for the program. Each participant determines their schedule from their site specific registration materials.

Fun, Hands-On Learning
Our unique variety of courses do not require homework, testing or an evaluation; rather, they inspire each participant to explore their diverse interests in Art, Creative Writing, Fantasy Gaming, History, Math, Science, Technology and more.

Small Course Size
To foster Individualized attention and develop student socialization, our student to instructor ratio will not exceed 10:1 and the staff to student ratio is 6:1.

Appropriate Grouping
Participants are scheduled into each activity by their current grade level and whenever possible, each activity period is balanced by gender.

COLLEGE GATE®is a non-profit organization offering exciting summer enrichment programs for kids in kindergarten through grade 3.

Each workshop activity has been designed to enthusiastically provide able learners with challenging hands-on experiences where kids will have the opportunity to discover a new way of thinking and creatively express their thoughts while developing critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.

The staff has been selected for their experience and dedication to inspiring students.

COLLEGE GATE®

Students have come to College Gate® through their desire to experience a summer full of unique and exciting challenges in a fun, hands-on learning environment. Most of all, each of the kids has an opportunity to discover that "learning is fun" with a diverse, project based curriculum developed by each of our creative instructors.

Staff

The staff is selected for their experience, enthusiasm, creativity and high energy.

Our instructors are either certified teachers, subject matter experts or specialists. They come from a broad range of backgrounds and bring unique talents and teaching styles to create a relaxed setting where each student’s experience is exciting and enjoyable.

Parents and students arrive at College Gate® with high expectations of experiencing a summer full of unique and exciting academic challenges in a fun, hands-on learning environment. This experience is achieved and occurs through a diverse, project based curriculum developed by each instructor.

The health and safety of those participating in the College Gate® experience is our main concern. For this reason, each aspect of the program has been designed with the student's well being in mind.

Each program Director and Assistant Director is certified in First Aid and CPR.

The site Directors are certified teachers and have been with College Gate® for an average of nine years.

The Junior Staff, who are high school & college age young adults, support the administrators and instructors and are most often alumni of the College Academy® program or have worked at College Gate®.

Background checks have been performed on all of our staff including a CORI, SORI and reference verification.

To assist each applicant during the program, students will receive a copy of the program handbook with their schedule.
